Analisis Kekerasan Gangster di Haiti Dan Dampaknya Terhadap Arus Migrasi Menuju Amerika Serikat Tahun 2019-2021

This paper discusses Gangster Violence in Haiti and its impact on migration flows to the United States in 2019-2021. The author finds that in the midst of an unstable country condition, Haiti also has a high incidence of violence, where the violence is caused by rampant gangsters, thus continuing to worsen the condition of the country. This incident then caused various impacts in Haiti, including the decision of the Haitian people to leave their country by migrating to other countries in the hope of obtaining security and a better life. In this study, the author uses Johan Galtung's concept of violence and E.G Ravenstein's migration theory to help and simplify the explanation of the problems being studied. This paper is qualitative-descriptive research; data are retrieved from secondary sources (library study) and uses the data collection technique of Miles & Hubermann. The findings in this study that the impact produced by gangster violence in Haiti is the high flow of migration, and the presence of gangsters creates insecurity and discomfort for Haitian society, besides those gangsters in Haiti are one of the obstacles in the country's development process
